Kathryn Smith’s work has been awarded a grant from the Spokane Arts Fund, and her poems have been nominated for Best American Poetry and the Pushcart Prize. She holds a BA in English from Whitworth University, and an MFA in creative writing from Eastern Washington University. She lives in Spokane, Washington, where she writes, knits, gardens, makes collage art and other paper ephemera, and spends a lot of time looking at insects.
