Kate Osana Simonian is an Armenian-Australian novelist, essayist, and short story writer hailing from Sydney. Her work has been published by, or is forthcoming in, The Kenyon Review, Ninth Letter, Post Road, Passages North, The Colorado Review, The Chicago Tribune, and The Best Australian Stories. In 2017, she won the Nelson Algren Award. She is completing an English PhD at Texas Tech, where she is a grateful recipient of a Presidential Fellowship. Kate is the flash fiction editor for Opossum Magazine and an assistant editor for Iron Horse. Ask her about her linked short story collection or her historical novel-in-progress.
