Teresa H. Janssen is an educator, born on the banks of the Columbia River in Washington State and raised on the shores of Puget Sound in Seattle. She studied History, Italian, and French Literature at Gonzaga University and obtained a masters degree in Linguistics at the University of Washington.
She has lived on four continents where she has gathered material for her writing. She makes her home near the Strait of Juan de Fuca in Washington State, but presently is on sabbatical in Uganda where she continues to explore themes around nature, migration, travel, and the power of place.
