Tao Lin is the author of ten books, including Leave Society, Trip, and Taipei. He is the editor of Muumuu House and co-founder of MDMAfilms. He was born in Alexandria, Virginia in 1983. He has a BA in journalism from New York University and has twice taught a class called "The Contemporary Short Story" in Sarah Lawrence College's MFA program.
