Tamara Schuyler grew up in Brussels, Belgium, speaking English, French, and German, and has been experimenting with language on the printed page since she learned to write. She earned a BA in biology and an MA in linguistics, both from the University of California at Santa Cruz. Her first career was in science writing. She now works as a linguist in the legal industry. Her debut fiction appeared in CutBank and was nominated for a Pushcart Prize.
