T. Austin Graham

T. Austin Graham specializes in nineteenth and twentieth-century American literature, with an emphasis on modernism. His scholarly work is primarily concerned with literature's relationship to other arts and disciplines. He is the author of The Great American Songbooks (Oxford University Press, 2013), a musicological study of American fiction and poetry. He has also placed articles in ELH, American Literature, American Literary History, New Literary History, and other venues. Currently, he is at work on a study of the American historical novel in the twentieth century. In 2011–12, he was an American Council of Learned Societies faculty fellow at the University of Virginia; in 2010–11, he was a visiting scholar at the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
