Susan Detweiler, M.D. is a pathologist who lives and works in Seattle, Washington. Her medical papers have appeared in the New England Journal of Medicine, the American Journal of Surgical Pathology, Ultrastructural Pathology and other medical journals. Her nonmedical publications include essays in the Writer’s Chronicle and on the Seattle Opera web site. She is a member of Physicians for Social Responsibility with a lifelong interest in military history.
