Steve Potter is a writer and editor from New Hampshire currently based in Western Massachusetts. He received an MFA in Creative Writing (Fiction) from New York University, where he served as a two-year Starworks Fellow.
His fiction has appeared in Conjunctions and Narrative Magazine, been nominated for the 2020 PEN/Robert J. Dau Short Story Prize for Emerging Writers, and been honorable-mentioned in Best American Short Stories 2020. He was also a recipient of the Adirondack Center for Writing's 2019 Anne LaBastille Memorial Writers Residency.
Steve has taught creative writing at New York University and through Duke University TIP. Also a freelance writer, he reviews literary fiction for Kirkus Reviews and writes business articles for the executive search firm Odgers Berndtson. He is at work on two novels.
