Stephanie Friedman

Stephanie Friedman is the program director of the Writer’s Studio, a continuing education program in creative writing at the University of Chicago. She holds an MFA in Writing from Vermont College of Fine Arts and an MA in English Language and Literature from the University of Chicago. Her recent publications include a review essay on place and masculinity in recent fiction about Israel, published in the spring 2011 issue of The Reform Jewish Quarterly, and a craft essay on resonance in fiction published on Hunger Mountain’s website. She also writes a blog titled The Winding Stitch. She lives in Chicago with her partner and their two children.
