Shelley Puhak is a poet and writer from Maryland. She is the author of three award-winning books of poetry, the most recent of which is Harbinger, a 2021 National Poetry Series selection. Individual poems have appeared in journals such as Cincinnati Review, Missouri Review, Shenandoah, and Verse Daily. Her essays have appeared in Creative Nonfiction, The Iowa Review, and Virginia Quarterly Review; been anthologized in Best American Travel Writing; and designated as Notable in several editions of Best American Essays.
