Saint James Harris Wood

Website

Saint James Harris Wood was on the road with his psychedelic punk blues band, The Saint James Catastrophe, when he picked up the heroin smoking habit. This inevitably led to a California high desert penal colony where he reinvented himself as a writer of the darkly absurd.

His poetry, fiction, and essays have been published in Confrontation, Meridian, Tears In The Fence, On Spec, Lynx Eye, The Sun, and other less reputable literary gazettes. He has three sons, Zachary, Dylan and Lowell who are gentlemen and geniuses.

Saint James claims to have had more jobs than any six normal people, such as, disk jockey, pineapple factory worker, carnie, construction worker, advertising executive, street musician, apple cider farmer, radio jingle writer and the guy who crushed pennies for tourists in front of Grauman's Chinese Theater. He went to the College of the Sequoias, but quit when they demanded he learn the Latin name of all the bones in the human body.
