Matthew Teague is a former foreign and national correspondent for the Los Angeles Times. He has written for National Geographic, Vanity Fair, the Atlantic and others, from places as diverse as Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, China, Ireland and Abu Dhabi. His work has been included in several anthologies, including “Best American Travel Writing,” “Best American Crime Writing,” “Best American Sports Writing” and “Don’t Quit Your Day Job: Acclaimed Authors and the Day Jobs They Quit.”
