Mary Miller grew up in Jackson, Mississippi. A graduate of the Michener Center for Writers at the University of Texas, she will return to Mississippi in the fall of 2014 to serve as the John and Renée Grisham Writer-in-Residence at Ole Miss. She has published two novels, The Last Days of California and Biloxi and two collections of short stories, Big World and Always Happy Hour.
