Marilyn Moriarty

Marilyn Moriarty won the 2014 Faulkner Society’s Gold Medal for Best Essay. Her writing has been published in the Antioch ReviewCreative Nonfiction, Faultline,  the Kenyon ReviewNimrodQuarterly West, and others, and she is the author of Moses Unchained (winner of the AWP Prize for Creative Nonfiction) and a textbook, Writing Science through Critical Thinking. She received her Ph.d. from the University of California, Irvine, and is a professor of literature at Hollins University in Roanoke, Virginia.
