Jonathan Burgess


Jonathan Burgess served in 1st Battalion 5th Marines as a team leader on the 11th MEU (SOC) in 2007 and as a part of Operation Khanjar in Helmand Province, Afghanistan in 2009. He earned a BA in English Language and Literature and currently studies creative non-fiction writing in Converse College’s MFA program. His work has appeared in O Dark Thirty, Blood & under, and Catholic Exchange. He lives in upstate South Carolina with his wife and four children.
