John Corbett is a frequent contributor to DownBeat magazine and is one of the founders of the Alton Abraham Papers of Sun Ra at the University of Chicago. His most recent book is Vinyl Freak: Love Letters to a Dying Medium. Along with Jim Dempsey, he owns the Corbett vs. Dempsey Gallery in Chicago.
