Jessica Raimi grew up in Rochester, N.Y. She attended the Ecole Alsacienne in Paris (1968–1969), Barnard College (1969–1971), the Visual Studies Workshop in Rochester (1972-1974), and SUNY Empire State College, from which she earned a B.A. with a major in photography in 1975. Her memoirs and essays have appeared in the Gettysburg Review, the Antioch Review, the Palo Alto Review, Columbia College Today, Columbia Magazine, the Tribeca Trib, and other publications. Her radio productions have been broadcast on National Public Radio; WNYC, New York; WBGO, Newark, N.J.; WBAI-FM, New York; KCSM, San Mateo, California; and KMPG, Portland, Maine. She lives in New York City.
