Jenny Smick

Jenny Smick graduated from University of Maine with a degree in English/Creative Writing, and is now in her third semester as an MFA student at University of Southern Maine’s Stonecoast Creative Writing program. As an undergraduate, she won the English Department’s most prestigious fiction writing prize, The Steve Grady Award. She also won a short-story-writing contest through Glamour Magazine, and her short story was turned in to a short film directed by Demi Moore. She lives in Portland Maine, where she teaches English Composition at her local Community College. She is also a fiction editor for the Pushcart Prize.
