James Silas Rogers is the retired editor of New Hibernia Review, a journal of Irish Studies. He is the author of two books of poems–a chapbook, Sundogs (Parallel Press, 2006) and The Collector of Shadows (Brighthorse Books, 2019)—and a mixed-genre book on cemeteries and sacred space, Northern Orchards: Places Near the Dead (North Star Press of St Cloud, 2014), which was a finalist for the Minnesota Book Award in creative nonfiction. His scholarly writing generally deals with Irish-American literature, and he has published articles in a range of academic journals in Ireland and the United States. He is the author of Irish-American Autobiography: The Divided Hearts of Athletes, Priests, Pilgrims and More (Catholic University of America Press, 2016). Rogers earned an M.A. in English from the University of St Thomas.
