With no hometown to speak of, Jackie Sizemore comes from the Rustbelt, the South, and Tokyo. Her prose has previously appeared in Entropy, Citron Review, Mojo/Mikrokosmos, Eastern Iowa Review, Paper Darts, Opossum, Ravishly's Long Reads, Heavy Feather Review, and Crab Orchard Review. Poetry has appeared in Noble / Gas Qtrly and Yes Poetry. A short story placed in the top twenty for the 2022 Alpine Fellowship Writing Prize, and she was previously longlisted for in 2018, 2019, and 2021. Her lyric essay about growing up in Tokyo was listed as a Notable Essay in the Best American Essays 2018. She received her MFA from Boise State University and a BA in History and Creative Writing from Carnegie Mellon University.
