Jack Livings is author of a novel, The Blizzard Party, and a short story collection, The Dog, which was awarded the PEN / Robert W. Bingham Prize, the Rome Prize for Literature, and was named to best book of year lists by the Times Literary Supplement and The New York Times. His stories have appeared in A Public SpaceThe Paris ReviewStoryQuarterlyTin HouseThe New Delta ReviewGuernicaBest American Short Stories, and have been awarded two Pushcart Prizes. He is a graduate of the Iowa Writers' Workshop and was a Wallace Stegner Fellow at Stanford. He lives in New York with his family.
