Hannah Marshall

Hannah Marshall was born in 1987 and grew up in the Driftless Area of the Midwest. She currently lives in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where she works at the public library and as the poetry editor for Converse College's literary journal, South 85. Marshall's poem "This Is a Love Poem to Trees" was selected by former U.S. Poet Laureate Tracy K. Smith for The Best American Poetry 2021. Marshall's poems have also appeared in Poetry Daily, New Ohio Review, The South Carolina Review, The American Journal of Poetry, and elsewhere. She holds an MFA in creative writing from Converse College.
