Georgina Nugent-Folan is a postdoctoral Research Fellow at Trinity Long Room Hub, where she is contributing to the K-PLEX Knowledge Complexity project. She completed her PhD thesis on works of Samuel Beckett and Gertrude Stein at Trinity College Dublin in 2016, where she also obtained her BA (English Studies), was elected a Trinity Scholar, and was awarded the Trinity Gold medal.
During her period as a graduate research student she was awarded the IRC Postgraduate Research Scholarship, the AJ Leventhal Travel Scholarship, and the MLA Graduate Student Travel Scholarship, among others.
In addition to her postdoctoral research, she is currently preparing a digital genetic edition of the Compagnie/ Company module as part of the Beckett Digital Manuscript Project. Articles on Beckett and/or Stein have been published in the Journal of Beckett Studies, The Southern Review and Samuel Beckett Today/ Aujourd’hui. Her article, “Samuel Beckett: Going On in Style,” received a Special Mention in the 2017 Pushcart Prize.
