Gabriel Houck

Originally from New Orleans, Gabriel Houck lives and works in Lincoln, where he teaches composition and is a student in the creative writing PhD program at the University of Nebraska. He has an MFA in writing from the California Institute of the Arts and an MFA in nonfiction from the Iowa Writers Workshop, and his work has appeared in Drunken Boat, Spectrum, Flyway, and Sweet. Though the winters are cold, he has an indestructible old dog named Logan who sits on his feet while he reads, and he is very grateful for her.
