Frances Lefkowitz

Frances Lefkowitz is the author of To Have Not, a memoir of growing up poor in 1970s San Francisco. She graduated from Brown University with a degree in anthropology and is a writer, editor and Director of the Community Memoir Project. Excerpts from her memoir, published in The Sun magazine, have also been listed as Notable for Best American Essays 2006 and Special Mention for the Pushcart Prize 2003 and 2007.
