Emily Bass‘s HIV/AIDS and health-related journalism has appeared in the Lancet: Infectious Diseases, Out magazine, Salon, and many other publications. In 2004, she received a Fulbright journalism award to report on the introduction of free AIDS treatment programs in Uganda. She received her MFA in nonfiction from Hunter College in 2009 and lives in Brooklyn, New York.
