Elvis Bego was born in Bosnia, became a refugee at the age of twelve, and currently lives in Copenhagen. His fiction and essays have appeared in The Common, Kenyon Review, Ninth Letter, AGNI, The Threepenny Review, New England Review, PANK, Tin House, and elsewhere.
