Elliott D. Woods is an American writer and photographer with a focus on the Middle East. He is a graduate of the University of Virginia and an alumnus of the Arabic Language Institute at the American University of Cairo. In 2009, Elliott covered the Israeli military offensive in the Gaza Strip and its aftermath on behalf of VQR and the Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting. The resulting essay, "Hope's Coffin," was honored by the Overseas Press Club in April 2010.
