His work was cited as a "Distinguished Story" in Best American Short Stories 2019 and has been recognized in competitions by Narrative Magazine, Glimmer Train, American Short Fiction, and Zoetrope: All-Story. A grant recipient of the Elizabeth George Foundation and former writer-in-residence at the Helene Wurlitzer Foundation, he lives in New York City.
