Daniel Shanahan is Professor of Communication at the Humanities Faculty of Charles University in Prague. He received his PhD from Stanford, and was twice Senior Fulbright Lecturer in American Studies, once in Yugoslavia and once in Czechoslovakia. He has served on the faculties of the Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales in Paris and the Monterey Institute of International Studies in California, and he has been visiting professor at universities in Canada, Poland and Austria. He is listed in current editions of Who`s Who in the World and The Dictionary of International Biography.
