D.T. Nguyen immigrated to the United States as a child in 1975, after the fall of Vietnam. She is completing a collection of nonfiction stories focusing on the themes of identity, passages, and the reconciliation of cultures and values that ensue. She was selected as a finalist for Ruminate Magazine’s VanderMey Nonfiction Prize for her story “Dining Out,” to be published in a forthcoming issue of the Briar Cliff Review. Her work is also forthcoming in Reed Magazine.
