Constance Lindgreen has been scribbling — stories, poems and three as-yet unpublished novels — and reading everything she could get her hands on since the age of six. The most frequently-read authors on her shelves include Tolstoy, Turgenev, Willa Cather, Edith Wharton, Shakespeare, Trollope, Proust, Henry James and Homer. After a more than 30-year international career in IT which took her from her native United States to England and Denmark, she and her husband retired to France. Her first published short story, "A Restaurant in Venice," is available in Kindle format in "The Best. Winners and Runners Up from the International Club of Bordeaux's 1st Annual Short Story Competition" issued in mid-2015.
"A Case in Point," published by the Gascony Writers' Anthology in June, 2016 received a Special Mention from in the Pushcart Prize 2018. Three other stories were published in Blue Fountain, an anthology published by Korongo Press, October, 2017. In December 2017, " Lost and Found" and "It's in the Bag," both prize-winners in the Creative Writing Institute's short story contest, will be published in Lost!
She is the leader/facilitator of the Crossroads Writers Club in Fontainebleau.
A confirmed expat, Connie is passably fluent in Danish and French.
