Hobson is the recipient of a 2016 Pushcart Prize and is a frequent contributor to Noon (Literary Annual). His writing has appeared in numerous other literary journals, including Conjunctions, The Paris Review Daily, The Believer (magazine), New York Tyrant, Post Road, Puerto del Sol, Narrative Magazine and elsewhere. He was a finalist for the National Book Award in 2018 and a finalist for the St Francis College Prize in 2019.
