Benjamin Nugent is the author of Good Kids, a novel (Scribner, 2013) and American Nerd, a cultural history (Scribner, 2008). His fiction has appeared in The Paris Review, among other magazines, and will appear in the upcoming Best American Short Stories of 2014. His nonfiction has appeared in The New York Times Magazine and many other magazines and newspapers. Director of the low-residency MFA program in fiction and nonfiction at Southern New Hampshire University, he lives in Brooklyn.
