Barbara Flug Colin

Barbara Flug Colin teaches in the poetry-writing program she created 26 years ago for the Henry Viscardi School, an elementary and high school for severely physically disabled students in Albertson, New York. She was a contributing editor of Frigate; has published poems, essays and interviews in art, literary and teaching magazines and anthologies such as Art Now, Arts Magazine, New York Art Journal, M/E/A/N/I/N/G, New Observations, AWP, Frigate, Third Mind, Making a Difference, Cerise Press, Evergreen Review, DIAGRAM. She received Teachers and Writers' 2012 Bechtel Prize, cited in Best American Essays, 2013.
