An Uong is a writer invested in community-driven storytelling. Born in Vietnam and raised in Los Angeles, she now lives in New England. Currently working as engagement strategist at AIR (the Association of Independents in Radio), An draws from her past community-based work at WNYC, Socrates Sculpture Park, and the Office of Community Partnerships at Sarah Lawrence College. She received a Bachelor of Liberal Arts degree from Sarah Lawrence College and an MFA in creative nonfiction writing at Emerson College. Her work is forthcoming or has appeared in Eater, Catapult, Wildness Journal, Boston Globe Magazine, Roads and Kingdoms, Winter Tangerine, and elsewhere. An can be found camping, hiking or rock climbing when she’s not running after a bus or subway.
