Adrianne Kalfopoulou has lived and taught in Athens, Greece for most of her teaching career in higher education; she was an academic program director at Hellenic American University, and the American College of Greece. She has taught at the University of Freiburg, Regis University, Davidson College, where she was the 2020-2021 McGee Distinguished Professor of Creative Writing, and New York University. She has published three collections of poetry, most recently A History of Too Much, and two essay collections. She is currently at work on a nonfiction collection that investigates concepts of refuge and hospitality. She teaches at RIT Dubai, where she is Associate Professor of Creative Writing and English.
