Abby Lipscomb has been a teacher, a guidance counselor, and a psychotherapist. She holds a PhD in Marriage and Family Therapy and an MFA in Creative Writing. Her work has appeared in Boomtown: The Queens University of Charlotte MFA Programanthology, The Broad River Review, The Greensboro Review, Sou’wester, Ghost Town, storySouth, LUMINA, Quiddity, and Valparaiso Fiction Review. Her fiction has won the 2012 Rash Award and a 2020 Pushcart Special Mention. Abby lives in southwest Virginia.
