Each Stonecoast semester begins with an inspiring nine-day residency on the coast of Maine. Our award-winning faculty mentor students in creative nonfiction, fiction, poetry, and popular fiction. Interested students may study other areas, including scriptwriting, translation, and hybrid genres. Monthly packets encompass original writing, revision, and annotations. Every Stonecoast student tailors their curriculum to reflect their interests and goals. Our community values collaboration over competition and process over product. Students interested in social change or environmental activism should check out Stonecoast's WISE (Writing for Inclusivity and Social Equity) Initiative.
