Sean Shearer

Sean Shearer grew up in New Jersey. He earned degrees from Hampshire College and the University of Virginia, where he was a Poe-Faulkner Fellow and taught courses in creative writing. His first collection of poetry, Red Lemons (U of Akron, 2021), won the 2019 Akron Poetry Prize. He is the recipient of a Pushcart Prize and his poems have appeared in New England Review, Boulevard, Beloit Poetry Journal,Copper Nickel, jubilat, and elsewhere. Sean is the founder of BOAAT Press and is currently a City Mail Carrier for USPS.
