Samar Farah Fitzgerald

Ms. Fitzgerald received her M.F.A. in Fiction from the University of Wisconsin in 2008, and her B.A. in Political Theory from Georgetown University in 1998. Her works have been published in The New England Review, The Southern Review, Story Quarterly Online, The L Magazine and Avery: An Anthology of New Fiction. She is the winner of the 2008 Friends of Creative Writing Award and the August Derleth Prize in Creative Writing from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. Currently, Ms. Fitzgerald is an instructor of “Studies in World Literature and Creative Fiction Writing” at James Madison University, as well as a creative writing instructor at WriterHouse in Charlottesville, VA.
