He has written for The New York Times, Harvard Review, Creative Nonfiction, Vanity Fair, Ascent, Saveur, River Teeth, North American Review, Hippocampus and the Michigan Quarterly Review. He co-edited The Gulf South: An Anthology of Environmental Writing.
