Pia Z. Ehrhardt is the author of FAMOUS FATHERS & OTHER STORIES (MacAdam/Cage) and a recently completed novel JUST LIVE HERE. Her stories and essays have appeared in McSweeney’s Quarterly Concern, Oxford American, Narrative Magazine, Guernica, and on The Rumpus.net, and have been anthologized in the Norton Anthology NEW SUDDEN FICTION; SHORT SHORTS FROM AMERICA AND BEYOND; SUDDEN FLASH YOUTH: 65 SHORT-SHORT STORIES; Rose Metal Press’s FIELD GUIDE TO WRITING FICTION; THE UNITED STATES OF MCSWEENEY’S (edited by Nick Hornby and Eli Horowitz), and the 2010 edition of Janet Burroway’s WRITING FICTION: A GUIDE TO NARRATIVE CRAFT. Her work has been featured on NPR’s Selected Shorts and at WordTheater in Los Angeles. She is the recipient of a Bread Loaf Fellowship and the Narrative Prize. She lives in New Orleans and New York City with her husband, their away-at-college-son, and Ella, the rescue dog.
