Phil Christman is the author of Midwest Futures (Belt, 2020) and How To Be Normal: Essays (Belt, 2021). He teaches at the University of Michigan and frequently appears in Hedgehog ReviewCommonweal, and Christian Century, among other places. He writes a bimonthly column on new books for Plough Quarterly.
