Assistantships are available to most students who qualify for them and apply early. The program offers full funding. Accepted applicants receive full funding if they meet the priority placement application deadline and fill out a teaching assistantship application
Students have opportunities to teach Introduction to Creative Writing as well as Composition I & II.
Graduate students have the opportunity to serve as editorial assistants or interns on The Cimarron Review.
Yes. The PhD program allows cross-genre work and has just started an exciting new option that allows PhD students to concentrate in two areas of creative writing–a primary area and a secondary area.
