Mike Owens has been in prison for more than twenty years. A survivor of childhood abuse, he is currently serving a life-without-parole sentence in the maximum security prison in California where he first read and wrote poetry. He holds a certification in group counseling and is pursuing a degree in social and behavioral science. His latest book, The Way Back is available from Random Lane Press.
