Melissa Cronin

A former nurse, Melissa Cronin is a journalist, author, and writer based in Vermont. Recognized as a Notable Mention in The Best American Essays (2019), and a recipient of a Vermont Studio Center Merit Grant and a Vermont Arts Council Development Grant, her work has appeared in various mainstream newspapers, books series, magazines, and literary journals. She holds a BS in Nursing from Boston University and an MFA in writing from Vermont College of Fine Arts. When Melissa is not writing, she spends time gardening, playing the piano and Irish fiddle, and volunteering at an adorable library nestled in the small village of North Hero.
