Madhuri Vijay is from Bangalore, India. She received a BA from Lawrence University in Wisconsin and an MFA from the Iowa Writers’ Workshop, where she is an Iowa Arts Fellow. Her story “Lorry Raja” won First Place in the 2011 Narrative 30 Below Story Contest and was selected for The Pushcart Prize Series, 2014, and The Best American Nonrequired Reading, 2013.
