Joy Lanzendorfer's first novel, Right Back Where We Started From, is forthcoming from Blackstone Publishing in 2021. Other work has appeared in The New York Times, Washington Post, Raritan, The Atlantic, NPR, Ploughshares, Alaska Quarterly Review, and Poetry Foundation. Her short story “Sleep Disturbance” was included in The Best Small Fictions 2019 and “Bohemian Tragedy” was a notable in The Best American Essays 2019.
