Jameelah Lang

Jameelah Lang is an Assistant Teaching Professor at Rockhurst University. Her work has recently appeared or is forthcoming in the Kenyon Review, Pleiades, the Cincinnati Review, and Witness and has received awards from Bread Loaf Writers' Conference, Sewanee Writers' Conference, VCCA, and the Hub City Writers Project. She holds a Ph.D. in Creative Writing and Literature from the University of Houston, where she was Senior Nonfiction Editor for Gulf Coast and co-organizer for the award-winning Poison Pen Reading Series. She serves on the board of the Radius of Arab-American Writers and is currently at work on a collection of short stories and a memoir, of which a selection is forthcoming from Michigan Quarterly Review.
